While we have been rating our performance versus our peers based on data we get from PMS Bazaar, it is heartening to see the recognition from independent and credible sources such as PMS AIF World and PMS Bazaar who evaluate PMSes across categories for various periods of time using robust methodology. 

Awards from PMS AIF World: 

In collaboration with Beta, the Finance and Investment Club of India’s top ranked business school – IIM Ahmedabad, PMS AIF World has awarded us top 2 positions for performance for both five years as well as three years. This is done as a part of their Annual Smart Money Manager Awards 2023.  At Sameeksha we strive for excellence in serving our customers while adhering to our core values of integrity, honesty and hard work. These awards are recognition of our efforts in that regard.  While we have been writing every month about the consistency in delivering top decile performance on absolute as well as risk adjusted basis, we welcome the endorsement of the same from a very credible independent source doing objective and transparent analysis. It is heartening to see that an increasing importance is given to risk adjusted returns, not just pure returns by independent evaluators. The PMSes were evaluated based on their monthly NAV and risk adjusted returns over different periods. PMS AIF World uses a 3-stage methodology to arrive at the best performing PMS in each category of awards. Every category has certain minimum qualifications, out of which top 25% funds (based on maximum risk adjusted returns) are nominated for the awards in each category. We are the only PMS to be awarded in the three year category for two years in a row and the only PMS to be awarded for consecutive two years in either three or five years.

Award from PMS Bazaar based on computation powered by CRISIL:

As a part of India’s Biggest Alternative Investment Summit – PMS & AIF 5.0, PMS Bazaar has collaborated with CRISIL for a transparent evaluation of PMS strategies. CRISIL uses stringent criteria for shortlisting the PMS Ranking universe. To be eligible, a strategy must have 3 years of performance history (daily NAV data), a minimum 10 Cr asset size, and past three months’ portfolio available. There are 4 broad parameters for evaluation viz., Mean Returns, Volatility, Portfolio Concentration Analysis, and Liquidity analysis. Once the data is generated, CRISIL uses weights to arrive at the final ranking. At the last step, PMS Bazaar uses proprietary metrics and converts the ranking computation powered by CRISIL which is expressed in stars.
